It would also help if what I just learned from Security Assurance were explained somewhere on the Comcast website so that customers can understand how this works. I wonder if there is a way of distinguishing some of these promotional or blast emails, those we deem reasonable so they at least get to our Spam folders. The senders have to be alerted (by their IT dept or by customers) to their blocked status and unblock themselves at. Even if they add these senders a safe senders list, those emails will not come through not even to Spam or Trash. So if someone reported that the promotional offer from Chase was spam, subsequently no one else is going to receive it, even though they’ve requested it. Comcast IS blocking certain emails before they even arrive at my Inbox or Spam based on other customers previously tagging those same emails as spam (I don’t remember if she said how many had to do that before the email was blocked for everyone). Turns out this has nothing to do with anything I did or didn’t do in my settings. It didn’t involve forwarding emails with their headers since I never received the emails to begin with. I opened a case with Comcast Security Assurance after discovering 2 more academic emails that were being blocked and explained the situation.
